  • Drew Wright on modified Series, winch challenges, acoustic matting and flammable P38s
    Jan 14 2026

In this week's episode, Martin is at Wright Off Road HQ to chat to Drew Wright about all things motorsport, starting with a look around his very cool 88-inch Series challenge truck which is decked out with portal axles, competition winches, Super Swamper Bogger tyres and loads more trick kit that made it competitive in the winch challenge scene – much to the chagrin of owners of newer coil-sprung machines.

Drew also imparts his knowledge on his acoustic matting systems, and how the idea of fitting heavy matting to utility Land Rovers makes a big difference to noise levels inside the cab.

There's a journey through Drew's Land Rover history, including a Range Rover P38 fire, and a rusty Range Rover L322 which he's considering reviving.
