The January snowpocalypse put us behind but The (slightly) Above Amateur Tour is back with Episode 8 and this one is Hoo-Hoo-Hoo Hoosier themed. We'll recap recent New Castle athletics, talk to a couple of regional champion wrestlers in Tylin Thrine and Darin Reynolds and a regional qualifying diver in Annie Glover. Then we'll talk to 2023 New Castle grad Max Upchurch who spends his time signaling defensive plays as an equipment manager for Curt Cignetti and the national champion Indiana Hoosiers. First we'll spend a few minutes with 2023 State Champion wrestler and 3 time state finalist Tylin Thrine, then we'll recap the HHC conference wrestling meet. Finally, we're graced with New Castle wrestling royalty when we talk to living legend coach Rex Peckinpaugh. Put on your headphones, tune in and watch out for that cauliflower ear!!

On this episode we hear from our state champion cheer captains, a standout girls basketball player and we continue our Legacy Series with a conversation with former Lady Trojan, and current Lake Forest College sophomore, Emma Hart. We made it to episode 5!! We're in between the fall and winter seasons here at the podcast so we had a pool party. You'll hear from state qualifying swimmer Jakob Dudley and we'll learn who the Fab Five are from head swim coach Kristin Owens. Cannonball!!
