On this, the very first episode of The Mothball Prophecies, I thought it would be fun to kick things off by looking at a monster – or cryptid, for those who want to put a professional spin on things – in my state of Louisiana, known as the Rougarou.
Why am I discussing the Rougarou outside of Halloween? And why am I discussing the Rougarou so close to Mardi Gras? As we’ll find out, the Rougarou is not necessarily an autumnal monster. For some, theRougarou is a year-round creature. And for others, it’s a morereligious occurrence.
