  • Safety vs. Stepping Into the Unknown, with Dawn Wilson
    Feb 1 2026

The MultiPod is also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.

    ---
"I was stuffed in the box, but the box couldn't contain me."

Dawn Wilson has always known she's a multipotentialite, pretty much from day one: "I'm not a pick-a-lane kind of person."

She has navigated a career as an ESL teacher, something that is a great option for multipods, with all the variety and opportunity therein.

But she joins us today to talk about getting out of that life, because: it's time.

Dawn is building a coaching business, Our Sacred Wild, which guides people towards a path of self-awareness and spiritual growth. Whatever spirituality means to you, her process supports you in living in alignment with the truth of who you are, and from there, transformation, peace, health, wellness and abundance.

That's the ethos of it, but then there's also the practical, nuts & bolts side of it. How does one get to the point, not just financially but psychologically, to where they can leave a job and an old life behind, and commit to something new? To go from employee to entrepreneur?

Our conversation today revolves around this question, from the particularly meta perspective of someone who is in essence living what they teach. Is that a prerequisite? Not necessarily, but it certainly makes things that much more interesting!

  • Insights on Writing for Neurodivergent Multipotentialites, with Céol
    Jan 15 2026

Céol is an international writer, currently working on two projects: a dystopian novel and a utopian novel, worlds where autistic and neurodivergent people feel welcome. Do these two novels intersect and play off of each other?

That's just one of the areas we explore in our conversation today.

Céol and I chat about the nature and mindset of writing, is it a struggle, is it a joy, could it be both, and maybe even at the same time?!

Our conversation focuses on writing for neurodivergent multipotentialites, and Céol shares their different approach to deadlines and coworking, not to mention how to approach publishing. There's even a touch of sewing thrown in for context!

A novel is typically a pretty mammoth task, something that can take many months or years to complete. This is not so much an episode for the NaNoWriMo crowd - neurodivergent multipotentialite authors may want to set their own pace instead. And Céol helps guide us through some good activities and techniques.

"Thinking about your novel is writing your novel, and you should think about it as such."

    How to Contact Céol:

Write to Céol, share your feedback and insight, and maybe even discuss collaboration - ceol-u [at] proton.me

  • You Have Permission to Bring Your Travel Memories Back to Life, with Melissa Rodway
    Dec 15 2025
The MultiPod is also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.---If you love to reminisce about your travels, or if you're like me and kind of hesitant to do so - a little wary of living too much in the past - my guest this week will unlock that permission and take you right back to your memories.Melissa Rodway is the author of The People You Meet: Luxury, Leeches, Love, and Lao-Lao with a Host of Interesting Characters in Southeast Asia, her memoir about a four month (largely) backpacking trip back in 2010. The trip was in fact a combination of mostly doing the backpacker circuit, but interspersed from time to time with free stays at luxury hotels and resorts, as her partner at the time was on a research trip to scope out potential clients for his travel company. Thus the stories are a mixture of roughing it with spiders and squat toilets before ending up the next day at a private island, boat access-only, 5-star resort. What I found really inspiring though is the feeling that it's not too late to reminisce, to share stories from past travels and to revisit a point in time in your life. For so long, I've felt like I missed the boat, it was too late, and no one would care about travel stories that were almost 15 years ago and likely grossly out of date. But think about the last time you read a memoir, autobiography or certainly a travel journal that may have been written by someone decades ago, or about a point in time long in the past. If the storytelling is vivid and engaging, and especially if you have your own connection to the subject (such as the people, the places, the themes involved), it still has value. Multipotentialites tend to struggle with this, but take it from Melissa, a fellow multipod and someone who herself debated revisiting the past: it's not too late, it's worth it and you have permission!Discover The People You Meet: Luxury, Leeches, Love, and Lao-Lao with a Host of Interesting Characters in Southeast Asia and grab a copy here! flyrodway.com/my-travel-stories How to Contact Melissa:Website: flyrodway.comPodcast: The Fly Travel Radio Podcast Contact: flytravelmedia [at] gmail.comInstagram:@fly_travel_mediaYouTube: @flytravelradio2048 ---Find The MultiPod around the internet!Visit our new website, www.themultipod.com, for more show info, and our entire archive of 111 full episodes, plus bonus episodes and the Everything Conference miniseries. We also have a new guest application form, where you can send in your ideas for topics and who you would like to meet, and we'll set a recording date!Meanwhile, I'll be posting clips and updated on Instagram, @tedcraggpodcastingAnd, The MultiPod now has a sponsor!Quick Edit PodcastsYes, this is my own podcast production business. • From Flight Attendant to Autism Advocate, with Tabitha Zeigler
    Dec 1 2025
The MultiPod is also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.---You may have been seeing Tabitha Zeigler pop up a lot lately, and there's a good reason for that: Tabitha is a remarkably driven, engaging advocate who, unsurprisingly, is also a classic multipotentialite.Today we trace her journey and life story, from pursuing education, learning French, and considering the military, before stumbling into the field she would end up working in for 17 years: a flight attendant in the airline industry. There must be few jobs better suited to multipotentialites than this one: it inherently attracts worldly, curious and spontaneous people, frequently very well-educated, multilingual and anti-specialist, who seek adventure and variety. Thus, the perfect home for Tabitha through her 20's and 30's.But, as time time marched on, and biological clocks continued to tick, Tabitha knew she wanted children. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, this meant going down the path of sperm donation and artificial insemination. So our conversation quickly pivots to learning the ins and outs of how this process works, and it is fascinating. At once both heavily emotional and very transactional, Tabitha certainly became an expert, going through it twice, and ending up with three kids, the younger two being twins. And then, all three were diagnosed with autism. Which in turn led to Tabitha herself learning she was autistic. And in the face of all the inherent challenges therein, compounded by the current political atmosphere, Tabitha found herself with a new calling: advocacy. As an aside - Tabitha and I produced a miniseries documentary in late 2024 that expands on her story as a single parent of three young kids, all with autism, and her journey into advocacy.Since then, we've launched her podcast: "Staring Down the Storm: Autism Advocacy in America." The podcast raises awareness and fosters connections within the autism advocacy space, highlighting the significance of community support, inclusivity, and the power of personal storytelling in driving change.Watch Staring Down the Storm podcast on YouTube, or listen in your favourite podcast app! • From Flight Paths to Life Paths, with Ellerie Fuller
    Nov 15 2025

The MultiPod is also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.

    ---

Ellerie Fuller joins me today, a multipotentialite who loves variety and curiosity, and yet was able to spend 20 years in the US Air Force as an airplane mechanic! Fortunately, it was a job/career with enough twists and turns to keep her engaged, on her toes and ever-learning.

Ellerie shares her experiences in the Air Force, including her roles in aircraft engineering, quality assurance, and leadership. She discusses the challenges and opportunities that arose from her diverse career and her journey into mentorship and coaching, specifically for female veterans, as they transition out of the structured parameters of military life and into the civilian beyond.

With this in mind, Ellerie has founded Courageous Whisper Coaching, to help female veterans adjust smoothly into their next life chapters. We talk about why mentorship is so important, how multipotentiality is always bubbling under the surface, and also about the various projects Ellerie has undertaken post-military, including her hospitality business.

Reach out to Ellerie to say hello, introduce yourself and learn more about her offers, and in particular: pass the word on to someone who fits her target client, and whom she might be able to help with her coaching!

  • Come Travel With the Curious Traveler! with John McKenzie
    Nov 1 2025
The MultiPod is now also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.---Friend of the show and someone well-known to many of our listeners and viewers, John McKenzie drops by today to share some travel stories from a remarkable year of travel, even by his standards. In the past 12 months he's flown over Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls), toured post-Assad Syria, done a Scandinavian circuit, added his 75th new country visited (Ireland), and still had time for lots of domestic travel around the United States, visiting family & friends. In fact, John and I saw each other for a fifth time in person this past June, at Camp Indie.Oh, and he's organized and hosted the first two CuriosiTrips: his original approach to group travel, spontaneity and multipotentiality.CuriosiTrips combine the best of group travel: shared experiences, guided information and stories, logistical details and safety & security, with the freedom to still explore on your own and follow your nose.Itineraries are loosely structured to allow for both curated experiences and spontaneous activities, for which you're welcome to include other members of the group, but there's no obligation or pressure to do so.If you're keen to visit a place for the first time but want a bit more structure in doing so, or if you've been to a certain place but want to see it from a different perspective, CuriosiTrips are a great option. The first trip took place in January of 2025 in Mexico City, and the second in May, in Washington, DC. Now, John is heading back to CDMX to revisit a few familiar sights, discover new ones, and take another group of curious travelers with him!The dates are January 15-20, 2026. Lots of information on how it works, what's included, how to plan and prepare and more, are included on the excellent page here: johnthetraveler.com/curiositrip-mexico-city-2026/MultiPod listeners and viewers! You can apply it at the Stripe checkout page via the website above.Make sure you circle back to his home page itself too, to learn more about John's travels and also to sign up for his monthly newsletter (if you haven't already), which combines travel news and stories with some honest thoughts & personal reflections as a digital nomad, multipotentialite and committed traveler: johnthetraveler.comAND: John is a contributor to the new Traveler's Atlas of the World, a hardcover book from National Geographic, released on November 4, 2025! • Unlock the Power of Pulls: A Guide to Your ADHD Superpower, with Dr. Matt Jarman
    Oct 15 2025

The MultiPod is now also on video! You can watch today's episode on YouTube here.

    ---

How do we explain that feeling that pulls us towards doing a certain thing, or that in turn steers us away from doing other things? What makes us actually want to do something, that creates that desire, or pull?

Dr. Matt Jarman is here to discuss that very question, the intriguing concept of 'pulls' - that draw individuals towards certain activities, particularly in the context of ADHD and multipotentiality.

To then take it a step further, Matt has developed tools and systems to actually enhance productivity and satisfaction in your day to day life, despite, or maybe thanks to, your ADHD.

    https://productiveforgood.org/adhd-programs-overview/

Matt is trained in organizational psychology, with a focus on productivity. His coaching revolves around four key factors that drive productivity: your mind, your tasks, your time and your pulls.

It's this last one that may really speak to multipotentialites, since it's about what we feel drawn to pursue, why we feel that way but then how we can learn to "manage our mind" to find an effective and productive balance.

If all this sounds fascinating and encouraging, you're in luck! We have a great conversation about how to turn your ADHD, multipotentiality, or whatever label you prefer into your own superpower - for a fulfilling life that is built around the strengths of your brain.
