  • Ep. 140 - How Resilience & Determination Changed Everything with Denise Mazzola
    Jun 26 2023

In this episode, I talk to Denise Mazzola who is an experienced dog trainer and behavior specialist who runs her own business, Everything Dog, in New Hampshire. In 2020 she began to leverage digital technology, including Zoom calls and Facebook groups, to increase her reach.

By joining Brandon Lucero's messaging course and working with Laura Neisner, Denise was able to successfully launch a webinar in October 2018, which had four registrations. Her latest webinar, held in October 2020, saw 2006 registrations and a 6% conversion rate, with 25 people purchasing the product.

Denise's key takeaways for success include investing in herself, maintaining an open mindset, increasing the frequency of webinars, sending follow-up emails, and using visual elements to make her offer easier to understand. Overall, Denise advises that taking small, consistent steps toward success is usually more effective than drastic changes.

    • Lessons learned during the launch and how to respond to negative feedback
    • The strategies she used for improving product messaging and increasing sales

  • Ep.139 - Why Storytelling Is Key to Achieving Business Success with Nick Demos
    May 29 2023

Nick has succeeded in transitioning from Broadway dancer and singer to director and choreographer and has taken over a theater for a year. His unique approach to storytelling and messaging stems from his early fascination with Grim fairy tales.

Nick provides us with key insights on the importance of storytelling, risk-taking, and small steps of learning and growth in order to find fulfillment and happiness when it comes to launching a business. Storytelling is an essential marketing tool, and customers should be seen as the hero while the business should be the guide. He emphasizes the necessity of remaining authentic when relating a story and maintaining patience for lasting results. Additionally, he offers advice on how to stay in check and remain tenacious despite impediments in order to reach success.

    Key takeaways:

    • Focusing on learning and growth can lead to great accomplishments.
    • Taking risks is necessary for finding fulfilment and happiness.
    • Storytelling is essential for increasing credibility and establishing thought leadership.
    • Customers should be the hero and the business should be the guide when creating a story.
    • A business should focus on actual transactions rather than vanity metrics like likes and follows.
