  • Gregory's Girl review
    Aug 14 2021

In my latest post, I discuss the classic teenage romantic comedy, Gregory's Girl. It's been 40 years since the movie came out! It might be a little bit dated and slow-moving but today's standards, but time hasn't diminished its ability to engage and entertain. A gem of a film.

Incidentally, if you're a particular fan of Gregory's Gil there's a fan page on Twitter worth following - @gregorysgirl

Thank you to the following, to whom I make reference in my post:
    imdb.com (quotes from Gregorys' Girl)
    Reddit.com (quote from Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
BBCnews/news/uk-scotland (quotes from Bill Forsyth and Claire Grogan)
    And Nell Writes (blog)
Scotsman.com (quotes from Dr Jonny Murray and Bill Forsyth)

    Enjoy!

  • Cruise
    Jun 12 2021

In my latest post, I discuss the one-man play Cruise, starring the talented (and cute) Jack Holden, which I recently saw at the Duchess Theatre in London's West End. Fab show with much to recommend!

  • Rainbow Milk review
    Jun 1 2021

Greetings, lovely people! In this week's post I share my thoughts on recently published gay-themed novel 'Rainbow Milk' by newcomer Paul Mendez. Two very interesting narratives that perhaps don't quite gel together as a whole, nevertheless a book that raises a lot of important issues and one I would recommend checking out.

Just to add, you can now reach me on Twitter: my ID is Retro Boy 1969. I'd love to hear any feedback or comments you have in response to my posts - feel free to drop me a line, wherever, whenever.

And thanks again to those of you who tuned in to my last post on Eurovision - brilliant! It's lovely to know that I'm being listened to across the world (if a tad scary too, he he).
