  • God Has Not Changed His Mind (Part 3)
    Jan 20 2026

In this episode, I continue our powerful series titled "God Has Not Changed His Mind." We go deeper into Numbers 23:19, a foundational verse that reminds us that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. If He said it, He will do it.

I share what God first shared with me—that His promises still stand, even if it's been a long time, even if you've faced trials, setbacks, or disappointments. Just like David on his way to the throne, we all go through seasons of waiting and warfare. But the enemy's attacks are meant to change your mind, not God's. The truth is, the devil knows he cannot stop God's plans for your life—so he tries to wear you down and make you give up. But I'm here to remind you: God has not changed His mind.

I also encourage you to go back and listen to previous parts of this series if you haven't already, and to take in what God is saying afresh. His Word is rich, alive, and personal for the season you're in.

Let your heart be stirred again by the truth that God is faithful. He's still moving. He's still working. And His promises are still yes and amen.

    Jan 13 2026

I'm Dr. Siohvaughn Funches, and I'm honored once again to be your host and to share with you the Word that God first shared with me. In this episode, I continue in our powerful series titled "God Has Not Changed His Mind." Together, we're diving into Numbers 23:19, where we're reminded that God is not a man—He doesn't lie, and He doesn't change His mind.

This message is so personal to me because I know what it's like to receive a promise from God with joy and excitement—only to be met with waiting, discouragement, and even persecution. But I'm here to encourage you: God doesn't change His mind. What He said, He will do. He is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken over your life.

We talk about that often-forgotten season between the planting of God's Word and the harvest—the "waiting room," as I like to call it. If you haven't yet heard my episode "Waiting Room Wisdom," I highly recommend giving it a listen—or re-listen. The enemy often uses that in-between time to plant doubt, fear, and unbelief. But God is still working, even when we can't see it.

    Key Takeaways:

    • God doesn't lie or change His mind: What He has spoken, He will perform (Numbers 23:19).

    • The enemy comes for the Word's sake: Trials and persecution often follow after a Word is received.

    • There's a sowing, waiting, and harvest season: Don't give up in the "waiting room."

    • Your destiny is secure: No matter the delay, God's promise still stands.

    • God is faithful to finish what He started: Stay encouraged and rooted in His Word.

  • God Has Not Changed His Mind (Part 1)
    Jan 5 2026

In this powerful teaching, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues her study on the life of David, diving deep into God's perspective on righteousness and the significance of the heart. Through 1 Samuel 16 and other key scriptures, Dr. Funches reminds listeners that man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. She encourages believers to stop judging themselves—or others—based on performance or external standards and instead receive the gift of righteousness that comes by faith in Jesus Christ.

This episode is a call to stop striving for approval through self-righteousness and to rest in the righteousness that God freely gives. Using David's story, Dr. Funches paints a compelling picture of how even when man overlooks us—sometimes even those closest to us—God still appoints and anoints according to His purpose. If God chose David, the overlooked shepherd boy, He can and has chosen you.

    Key Takeaways:

    • God's standard is the heart: He does not judge by outward appearance (1 Samuel 16).

    • Self-righteousness is rejected: It's not about what you do or don't do—true righteousness is a gift received by faith in Jesus.

    • You are already righteous: If you believe in Jesus, you are clothed in God's own righteousness—nothing you do can add to that.

    • You may be overlooked by people—but not by God: Even David's own father and brothers didn't consider him, but God appointed him king.

    • Your calling is from God: Man may appoint leaders, but true spiritual authority and calling come from God Himself.

    • Don't miss God: Even without external validation, remain faithful and confident in what God has said and shown you.
