How do you respond when the Lord pulls you? What is your knee-jerk reaction when he calls on you?

When you get a phone call, the first thing you do is acknowledge who's calling. So Who is the Lord?

Loaded question but I have 3 key attributes that describe him:

1. Relational God (Father & Friend) - Jeremiah 10:12 - 13 (NIV); Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV); Luke 12:7 (ESV)
2. Persistent God - John 15:13 (NIV); Romans 6:23 (ESV)
3. Communicative God - Revelation 3:20 (ESV)

We'll discuss the story of Abraham and the sacrifice of his son, Issac. Abraham and Sarah, his wife, waited 25 years for the Lord to fulfill His promise through the birth of Issac. Only to later have the Lord tell him to take his son, whom he loved, and go to the land of Moriah and offer him up as a burnt offering (refer to Genesis 22:1-2).
