No spoilers, but we discuss the dial up tone at one point and I promised to insert it at the end of the episode, which I did. The particular recording I yoinked was recorded by William Termini on his iMac G3, and I found the recording from this blog post by Oona Räisänen which breaks down the sound of dial up into it's component parts, displays them visually, and explains what each part is. Fantastic, ain't it?
