  • Christian Parenting: How to Be a Doer of the Word at Home (Deuteronomy 6)
    Feb 17 2026

Welcome back to the Project Revival Podcast with sisters Emily and Laura. This is Part 2 of our conversation on surrender and selflessness—and today we get extremely practical: what does it look like to live out your faith at home, where it’s often hardest?

It’s easy to look patient, loving, and “put together” in public (sometimes). But at home, our guard drops. Our patience gets thin. Our reactions get quick. And the truth is, the people we love most often see us at our worst.

In this episode, we talk about how real discipleship doesn’t start on a stage—it starts in the everyday moments:

    • how we respond under stress
    • how we discipline
    • how we apologize and repent
    • how we speak about others when our kids are listening
    • how we create a home that feels calm, safe, and Christ-centered

Our theme verse is Deuteronomy 6:6–7, reminding us that God’s Word should be taught consistently—when we sit at home, when we walk along the way, when we lie down, and when we rise.

    We also unpack:

    - Why “public patience” doesn’t automatically translate to “home patience”

    - How to shift from control to Christlike influence

    - Why discipline should be purposeful, not emotional

    - The power of explaining the why behind obedience and respect

    - Why kids need to see the gospel modeled through repentance, forgiveness, and self-control

    - Creating a home where Scripture is lived out through prayer in conflict, gratitude over grumbling, and speaking truth over fear

    - Encouragement for parents navigating real challenges like ADHD and autism

    - Why failure doesn’t disqualify you: God’s grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9)

    Key Scriptures Mentioned

    • Deuteronomy 6:6–7
    • Ephesians 6:4
    • James 1:22
    • Colossians 3:13
    • 2 Corinthians 12:9

    Takeaway

Your kids don’t just need Bible knowledge. They need to see the gospel lived out—through how you love, how you correct, how you repent, and how you rely on Jesus when you get it wrong.

  • Beyond Ourselves: Living Selflessly as Christians
    Jan 26 2026

Welcome back to the Project Revival Podcast with sisters Emily and Laura. In today’s episode, “Beyond Ourselves: Living Selflessly as Christians,” we tackle a hard but necessary conversation: how self-absorption quietly shapes our relationships, our faith, and even the way we read Scripture—and what it looks like to truly deny ourselves and follow Jesus daily.

So many of us hear God’s Word, agree with it, highlight it… but still live with ourselves at the center. In this episode, we unpack how selfishness isn’t always obvious—it can show up as walls, defensiveness, unforgiveness, self-protection, comfort-seeking, “guarding my peace,” and even using the Bible to validate our choices instead of letting it transform us.

    We dig into key passages:

    • James 1:22Be doers of the word, not hearers only…
    • Philippians 2:3–5Count others more significant than yourselves…
    • Luke 9:23Deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Me…
    • Proverbs 3:5–6Trust in the Lord… do not lean on your own understanding…

This is a call back to real Christianity: not performance, not “I’m a good person,” not comfort-first faith—but surrender, obedience, humility, and becoming more like Christ.

If you’ve been wrestling with hurt, boundaries, isolation, bitterness, offense, or the pressure of a culture that constantly says “what about me?”—this episode will challenge you and encourage you with truth.

    Question for the comments:

What’s one area where God may be calling you to lay down self and choose obedience—even when it costs comfort?

  • New Year Reset - Biblical Discernment
    Jan 12 2026

Welcome back to the Project Survival Podcast with sisters Emily and Laura! After the Christmas + New Year season (and a whole lot of sickness), we’re kicking off 2026 with a powerful discernment refresh for Christian parents.

In this episode, we break down what biblical discernment actually means in everyday life—especially as we raise kids in what feels like the loudest generation in history. From social media and influencers to shifting cultural values and “your truth vs. the truth,” we talk about how to train your kids to filter messages through God’s truth, not fear-based sheltering.

Using Romans 12:2, we explore how renewing our minds through Scripture helps us recognize truth vs. “almost truth”—and why parents can’t afford to be intellectually lazy when hard questions come.

    If you’ve ever wondered:

    • “How do I teach my kids discernment without controlling everything?”
    • “How do I answer tough questions about faith, culture, identity, and worldview?”
    • “What do I do when I don’t have the answers?”
    • …this conversation is for you.
