About this listen

Movie podcast co-hosted by Justin Gott and Pete Conway. Each episode centers on a single movie that is a blindspot for Justin, so it's his very first time seeing it. Pete, on the other hand, is a big fan and he's revisiting it. This makes them polar opposites in how they approach the viewing of the movie and their observations are often just as unique!© 2024 The Rambling Ramblers Art Politics & Government

  • Gremlins 2: The New Batch
    Dec 22 2021

In this episode, the return of Pete coincides with the return of some crazy critters who you should never get wet or feed after midnight - it's Joe Dante's 1990 horror comedy sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch!

As with each episode, we discuss general thoughts and observations on the movie through all of our categories: "You Already Know," "Let's Check It Out," "Like a Virgin," "Double Rainbow," "The Good Son-off," "Remake This!," and "Parting Shots."

Films discussed during "Whatcha Been Watching Lately": MIRROR (plus a quick recap of several 2021 releases Pete has seen) and SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME (spoiler-free but SPOILERS aplenty in the outtakes at the end of the show).

  • Leon: The Professional (w/Andy Crump)
    Dec 12 2021

In this episode, we followed around a 12-year-old girl who, after her whole family gets murdered, turns to a hitman for help in getting revenge on the crooked cop who did the deed in Luc Besson's 1994 action thriller LEON: THE PROFESSIONAL. Pete remains on a hiatus so Justin was fortunate to be joined by Boston film critic (and former guest of the podcast) Andy Crump!

We discussed general thoughts and observations on the movie through all of our categories: "You Already Know," "Let's Check It Out," "Like a Virgin," "Double Rainbow," "The Good Son-off," "Remake This!" and "Parting Shots."

Films discussed during "Whatcha Been Watching Lately": SWAN SONG and HOUSE OF GUCCI.
