  • New Beginnings: How God Redeems Time and Calls Us to Step Out in Faith
    May 21 2025

In this episode of Salty Diaries, we’re diving into the tension between excitement and anxiety that comes with new beginnings. If you’ve been sensing God calling you to something new — but you feel nervous, unqualified, or overwhelmed—this one’s for you.

We unpack the promises in Isaiah 43:19 and Zechariah 4:10, and talk about what it means to step out in faith even when your knees are shaking. You’ll leave encouraged to embrace your “small start,” trust God’s timing, and move forward knowing He rejoices in your obedience, not your perfection.

    📖 Key Scriptures:

Isaiah 43:19“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”

Zechariah 4:10“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”

    💡 Episode Takeaways:

    • God delights in your obedience, not your perfection.

    • You don’t have to feel confident to be called.

    • Small steps are still Kingdom moves.

    • New beginnings often feel unsteady—but God is already making a way.

    🙏 Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the new thing You’re doing in and around us. Give us courage to begin, eyes to see the path You’re making, and faith to keep walking—no matter how small the steps may feel. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Unpacking "The Salty Diaries": Living a Life of Impact and Purpose
    Apr 30 2025

What does it actually mean to be the salt of the earth? Jesus wasn’t just throwing out a poetic metaphor—He was giving us a call to live with impact, intention and faith that preserves what’s good.

In this episode, we’re sitting down for a real convo about what salt does, how it connects to your everyday and what happens when we lose our saltiness. We’ll talk about the quiet strength of showing up with truth and love in a loud world—and how to stay salty in the best way possible.

In This Episode, We Talk About:

    • What Jesus meant by “salt of the earth”

    • How salt was used in ancient culture

    • What it looks like to preserve truth today

    • The danger of blending in too much

    • How to live with subtle impact and holy intention

    Scripture:

Matthew 5:13 – You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

  • Meet Your Host: A Journey Through Life, Faith, Church and Why I Started a Christian Podcast as a Single Woman in My 30's
    Apr 16 2025

Welcome to the very first episode of The Salty Diaries! In this kick off episode, you'll get to know the heart behind the mic - me, your host, a single Midwest girl in her 30's who's walked through growing up at a mega church, mission trips, family heartbreak, healing and a year traveling solo around the world.

From growing up as a "Wednesday/Sunday" family to navigating life after my parent's divorce. I'm sharing my real and raw story of how my faith went from inherited to intentionally my own. I share some major mile markers , including the first time I left the country for my first mission trip to Peru at 13, took a break from church and community, reconnecting with an old youth leader and owning and selling my townhome to travel around the world while vlogging the whole thing.

If you've ever felt like your faith was on autopilot or like you're figuring it out all over again, you are not alone!

    Key Verse:

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. ~ Psalm 139:13-14
