• E33: From Church Seats to Serving in the Streets
    Mar 3 2026

What happens the first time you step out of the church seats and onto the streets to serve the homeless?

In this raw and deeply personal episode, this group shares unfiltered reflections from their first mission trip serving people experiencing homelessness. They went in thinking they were bringing help. They left realizing they were receiving something far greater.

We talk about the awkwardness, the fear, the assumptions we didn’t know we had—and the moment those walls came down. The conversations that caught us off guard. The laughter we didn’t expect. The eye contact that changed everything. The realization that the people we met aren’t “the homeless.” They are fathers, mothers, veterans, artists, dreamers—human beings with stories, humor, heartbreak, and dignity.

This episode isn’t polished. It’s honest.

We wrestle with the uncomfortable truth that homelessness is not a distant issue—it’s a growing crisis happening in our own communities. And charity alone isn’t enough. If we’re going to address homelessness in a meaningful way, we have to start seeing people differently. Listening differently. Acting differently.

These are the reflections that changed us.

Because once you know someone’s name, once you hear their story, you can’t look away.

It’s time to rethink how we show up. Salty Farm Ministries sets out to do things differently and this is the impact it has on people.

  • E32: Packed Totes & Changed Lives
    Feb 24 2026

What happens when faith moves beyond words and becomes tangible love? In this powerful and uplifting episode, we explore the beauty of a dynamic partnership between a church community and Salty Farm Ministries through a dedicated supply drive and missions group—working hand in hand to bring hope where it’s needed most.

Through heartfelt stories and behind-the-scenes insights, we share how simple acts—collecting items for the Giving Closet—become life-changing blessings for our friends on the streets. This episode highlights the sacred synergy that happens when generosity meets organization, and when compassion is matched with courageous action.

You’ll hear how volunteers discovered that missions isn’t just about going somewhere far away—it’s about showing up faithfully, right where you are. From collecting items in the congregation to some joining in the streets, this partnership reveals a powerful truth: when people unite under a shared calling, small offerings multiply into lasting impact.

Whether you’re leading a ministry, serving in your community, or simply wondering how to make a difference, this conversation will inspire you to step forward in faith. Because when hearts align and hands get to work, communities are strengthened, hope is restored, and purpose comes alive.

Join us as we celebrate what’s possible when faith isn’t just believed—it’s lived.

  • E27: Trying for Different
    Jan 20 2026

Check out this week's God Stories from the Streets! We're sharing two of our favorite stories about men working hard to turn their lives around. While it's common to assume that people living on the street are just lazy or unmotivated, these gentlemen prove otherwise. Hear how they're making positive changes for themselves.

Episode scripture: "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 29-31
