  • Interview with Rolf Studer, Oris CEO and we meet the designer of the new Artelier
    Jun 10 2026

    Hi Watch Fam,

Thank you for keeping time with us.

So we have a special edition of the pod for you. I was one of the lucky people to interview Rolf Studer, the Oris CEO.

He was such a nice gent. Giving up his valuable time as the leader of a top watch company. My love for Oris runs deep - hopefully you see that as we go through the interview. I really wanted to get into the mind of a watch CEO and specifically Oris and how the company ticks.

This was part of an Oris event at London Watch Week. I also got to chat to Lena Huwiler the young designer of the new Artelier. I asked her about how she selected the three colourways - the midnight blue, classic white, and her and my favourite the orangey brown version which is called Chestnut.

I got to see some of the sketches of how the Artelier came to life as well as some of the dials prototypes, including an amazing green dial version I would love to see enter production.

Anyhoo, this episode was definitely a dream come true when we kicked off The Timekeepers. Part of the business plan was ‘interview a CEO’. Mission accomplished. So here is me giving back to you our listeners - enjoy the rest of the show.

  • S2 E9: Longines deep-dive, insta shots of the month + watches we are lusting after
    Jan 4 2026

    Hi Watch Fam,

Thank you for keeping time with us.

Watch News is back! We love a good Piaget so new Andy Warhol ‘Collage’ has caught our eye. It’s perfect in a completely whacky way - stone dials to the max! We also stumble across Arsene Lippens and their fun fabric dial do check these out. And finally the watch both Tim and Anna from Chrono_Girl_Life have in their collections Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, but this time with a twist in ‘Autumn Orange’ (2mins 11 seconds)

Watches we are lusting after - Tim is surprisingly lusting after a neo-vintage Rolex a 1990s Oyster Perpetual 34mm ref. 15210 with its machine turned bezel and clean dial either as a sunray deep blue or in a more matte black. Presents good value into the entry-level Rolex ownership. (7mins 03 seconds)

Watch shots of the month - big shout outs to three excellent insta shots: Corum Watches and its nest of peacock dial watches; Arrow of Time - Le Roy & Cie 50s rose gold case with a linen dial with these stunning indented indices; and finally Goldfinger Vintage’s - Girard Perregeaux 70s dress watch in white gold but what stands out is the case and dial finishing. It’s a clous de paris guilloche on both the case and blue/green dial. (08mins 31 seconds)

Deep dive on Longines - we highlight Vintage Longines himself and his prized 1942 blue dialed perfection of a watch - 18ct gold and stamped from Egypt with w reference of 4687.

The Majetek used by WWII Czech pilots as well as the Type A7 with this 45-degree design and big onion style crown.

We also pick out other vintage Longines’ from The Watcham with scarab gold lugs and exquisite pinky/salmon dial; watch seller Goldammer and another salmon dial and Tim’s favourite watch hands - pontife style; and finally SpaceTime.VintageWatch’s quirky little number - a circular case but attached to a rectangular outer case like a Tank protecting this incredible jade stone dial. This little piece would turn heads. (Starts from 11mins 33 seconds)
