  • Amanita Muscaria Part 3: Baba Masha and the Magical Microdose
    Oct 8 2025

Could Amanita Muscaria be the secret to finally clearing up your psoriasis? Making your poops more regular? Increasing your agility in the ring? How about in the bedroom ;) The answer may shock you!

We discuss whether this fabled "poison" could have a place in the modern medicine cabinet. And after exploring several studies on the effects of muscimol and ibotenic acid, we examine the results of the largest informal survey of Amanita Muscaria microdosing ever conducted, by none other than the Queen of Amanita Content herself, Russian doctor and psychonaut Baba Masha M.D. And of course, we close things out with a cautionary tale of Amanita Macrodose gone awry!

  • Amanita Muscaria Part 2: Soma and The Mushroom Messiah
    Sep 3 2025

Was the REAL Jesus not a man, but a mushroom shrouded in metaphor to survive Roman persecution? Did amanita muscaria inspire pre-Hindu Vedic priests to craft literally thousands of hymns? When the stakes are this high, can Jamie “pull that up?”

Today we're continuing on our trip down Amanita Lane talking about two dudes and their much disputed mushroom theories! We start off with Robert Gordon Wasson and his Soma Hypothesis, in which he argues amanita muscaria was the true identity of the plant god Soma from the Ninth Mandala of the Rig Veda. Then we go deeper down the rabbit hole with John Marco Allegro, who claims that the beloved Jesus Christ was in fact a cover up for the horny mushroom rituals too wild to be written down. Finally, we cap things off with a classic trip report that really brings everything together in one glorious golden shower.

    Aug 13 2025

In this episode, our wooden bowls floweth over with deep lore and more! We embark on a mystical journey to the land of the Koryak and Chukchi in Northeast Asia, and tell tales of what many people believe to be the original magic mushroom, Amanita Muscaria (aka Fly Agaric). You know we love primary source documents, so we're checking in with some 19th-century Russian dissidents who were exiled to Siberia and wrote some of the first accounts of Amanita use among the local Indigenous population.

  • Benadryl Part 2: Don't Go To Eiriel
    Jul 16 2025

Today we're discussing the deliriant state known as Eiriel, and the two reports from the olde internet chan board which coined the phrase. This episode comes complete with a big wet smooch from the Hatman’s shadowy lips. We talk internet culture, enjoy tangents on figures like Frederick Brennan, and try to make sense of what drives people to consume life threatening amounts of over the counter allergy medicine.
