In this episode of The Truth Project, Matthew Schanche and Andrew Bikichky examine the recent event involving 1,000 Evangelical pastors brought to Jerusalem and trained through the “Friends of Zion” organization, an initiative presented as Christian support for Israel—but one that raises serious biblical and prophetic concerns when tested by Scripture (Acts 17:11).
At the center of this movement is the merging of modern political Zionism with Evangelical Christianity, forming the theological system commonly known as Dispensationalism. While widely embraced today, this framework departs from the prophetic structure given in Scripture and contributes to the deception warned against in the last days (Matthew 24:4–5; 2 Thessalonians 2:3).
This study leads directly into Revelation 17, where the Bible reveals:
A woman representing an apostate religious system (Revelation 17:1–5)
A beast representing political power (Revelation 17:3)
Ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but who unite briefly to give their power to the beast (Revelation 17:12–13)
These verses expose a coming religious–political union that stands in opposition to the kingdom of Christ (Revelation 17:14).
Jesus Himself gave advance warning of this very trajectory. Speaking of Jerusalem, He declared:
“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”
— Matthew 23:38 (KJV)
This was not a statement about geography or ethnicity, but a judgment upon a system that rejected truth while clinging to power and tradition (Matthew 21:43).
Scripture is clear: God is not interested in national lineage or sacred locations, but in hearts surrendered in faith and obedience:
“God is no respecter of persons.” — Acts 10:34–35
“They are not all Israel, which are of Israel.” — Romans 9:6
“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly… but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly.” — Romans 2:28–29
The good news remains unchanged. Any person—Jew or Gentile—may come to God by faith and be grafted into His people through Jesus Christ:
“If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed.” — Galatians 3:29
“And if some of the branches be broken off… thou wert grafted in among them.” — Romans 11:17–20
Jesus warned us in advance—not to fear, but to watch, discern, and remain faithful (Luke 21:36).
