Welcome to this special episode of the Viking Coaches Corner. Kurt had the privilege to sit down with three amazing sisters who put their whole hearts into empowering our LHS students. Alexis Haskins coaches girls JV basketball. Jamie Krenz is currently a Lakewood school board member. Mallorie Schrock is the U19 girls soccer coach.

We’ll dive deep into each of their specific rolls at LPS. We’ll also get the laughter rolling. I mean who knew that frog farming could be so rewarding?

There’s no doubt you’ll love this episode. Their bond with each other is strong and their love for others is self-evident. They’ll make you laugh and feel as if you’ve known them forever. So sit back and enjoy the show.

Happy new year from the Viking Coaches Corner podcast. We’re starting off the year interviewing girls basketball head coach Luke Farrell. We also have seniors Liz Markwart, Emma Tidd, and Aubrey Zinn joining in. After this interview was recorded, the girls got their first win of the season again the Lansing J-Dubs. The Viking Coaches Corner welcomes back LHS guys wrestling to the podcast. Kurt sits down with Coach Tony Harmer, Athletic Director Matt Aldrich, and sophomore, Stewie Aldrich.

Both the mens and Womens wrestling program had successful events in the preceding days including the men’s win over a ranked opponent. Every wrestler on the team has an important roll during an event. Listen to this episode and learn about how Stewie wrestled the final match to anchor the win.

The Viking Coaches Corner welcomes the LHS Band Program to the podcast. Kurt sits down with Director Matt Langlois and special guests, Braydon and Landon Mendes. You will get a cool inside look at the program from not only the director's point of view, but also from the view of a student and parent.

The LHS band performs in several competitions during the marching season as well as in the spring season. These kids work hard to bring you great music and put in long hours outside of class to do so. There is a whole group of amazing people who help make the band so successful.
