January 1945 at Mercy General Hospital, a small county facility pressed into service as a receiving ward for wounded soldiers shipped home from Europe. Luna works the night shift on the Winter Ward, where the worst cases are laid out in a long dim room that smells of iodine and old snow. There is a man in Bed 7 who does not speak, will not eat, only stares at the ceiling with eyes that have already left. The nurses call him a 'quiet one' and move on. But Luna cannot move on. Because at 2:47 each morning, the light above his bed flickers once, and he lifts one hand toward the window, and the frost on the glass writes a name in cursive that no one taught him to read. Luna watches for three weeks. She learns the name. She learns what happens when the frost writes it back. A story about mercy, about the dead who still have messages they refuse to carry alone, and about a winter so cold it kept the ward quiet enough to hear something that should never have been spoken aloud. #MercyGeneral #WinterWard #Bed7 #FrostLetters #1945 #FieldHospital #Luna #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #NurseStory #WartimeHorror #TheQuietOnes #IodineAndSnow #TwoFortySeven #UnfinishedBusiness #NamesInFrost #TheDeadSpeak #HandOnTheGlass #WartimeWhispers #FieldHospitalHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
