About this listen

This Might Get Us Cancelled is the unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically real podcast hosted by Lahana & Meagan. Think of it as sitting down with your boldest girlfriends over wine (or matcha) and saying the things you usually keep in the group chat. From hot takes and unpopular opinions to honest conversations about business, womanhood, relationships, and the messy middle of life - we go there. Nothing is off limits, and yes… it might get us cancelled.2025 Social Sciences

  • Relationship advice we'd take and what we'd leave (Part 1)
    Feb 16 2026

Everyone has relationship advice ~ from your friends, your parents, the internet, and random TikTok therapists. But how much of it is actually helpful… and how much of it quietly ruins relationships?

In this episode, we break down some of the most common relationship advice phrases you've heard your entire life and give our honest, unfiltered thoughts on them.

We're coming into this conversation from two very different perspectives, which we love and why we're here! Lahana has been with her husband for 17 years and married for most of that time, while Meagan has been divorced and is currently dating. Together, we've experienced long-term commitment, heartbreak, growth, starting over, and everything in between.

This is Part 1 of this series, where we cover everything from communication to effort. Tune in next week for part 2!

  • Meagan's Dating Debrief in Austin
    Jan 26 2026

In this episode, Meagan breaks down what she's learned from dating in Austin — from the things she notices immediately when meeting someone in person, to her favorite types of dates, and yes… a few dates that ended up in just a new friendship (shared without naming names 👀, so don't worry boys!)

As Meagan reflects on her experiences, Lahana jumps in to call out red flags, questionable behavior, and patterns that too often get normalized in dating, turning the conversation into equal parts insight, validation, and real talk. The focus isn't on specific people — it's on awareness with some tea LOL.

If you're dating, redefining your standards, or just love a good dating debrief with perspective, this one will feel like a girls' night conversation you didn't know you needed.

  • Parenting Without Repeating Your Childhood
    Jan 19 2026

In this episode, we talk honestly about parenting — starting with how we were raised and how those experiences shape the way we show up with our own kids.

We reflect on our childhoods, the patterns we grew up with, and the moments that made us want to do things differently. From communication and discipline to emotions and expectations, we explore what it looks like to break cycles instead of repeating them.

Lahana also shares some of the intentional choices she's made as a parent that have helped her build strong, trusting relationships with her kids, including prioritizing emotional safety, open communication, and repair over perfection.

This episode is for parents, future parents, and anyone reflecting on how their upbringing still impacts them — and how healing can happen in real time.
