About this listen
As May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, and Highland has long been known as a tick, and now also Lyme Disease hotspot, we thought it was an ideal time to have a conversation with Dr Sally Mavin. Since 2020, she’s been the Director of the Scottish Lyme Disease and Tick-borne Infection Reference Laboratory in Inverness. She’s worked on Lyme disease as a Clinical Scientist for more than 20 years, and is passionate about improving the diagnosis of Lyme disease in patients in Scotland.
To find out more about the work of the laboratory you can go to https://www.nhshighland.scot.nhs.uk/your-services/all-services-a-z/lyme-disease-and-tick-borne-infections/
