    The hot mess express is back on Jason's Big Wooden Deck and we got caught in our first mid show storm. But not before we got a great interview with the one and only Capt Cefus MCrae of Nuts and Bolts of Fishing and Boating. Capt Cefus is bringing his Fishing Fest to Murrells Inlet this fall and we hope you will come join us for a fun filled weeknd right here on the Grand Strand. Thanks to our friends Julie and Rob at The Brookwood Inn in Historic Murrells Inlet for hosting the group this fall. We are excited to have Cefus choose our area and we look forward to participating and promoting the event. Capt. Jason and Capt. Nathan had a long run together early in MIFC days of growth and we get to hear some stories from those days and plenty of other crazy tales from the boats. Thanks to all that joined us this week and we will be back on Tuesday afternoon to record again.     This week the guys and gals of CFR got together to discuss several topics. With the recent ICAST in Orlando, a number of the crew made their way to Orlando and got up close and personal with all the new products that will be introduced in the near future. We are going to hear about some of the best products and all the fun that surrounds this annual event. We also are going to discuss a recent experience that some of the MIFC crew had a direct hand in helping to difuse and possibly saving a young mans life. We do not kid around about suicide and the reality is, that many people have things they are dealing with that they hide from friends and family. In this case a young man had taken a very strong edible drug that had a very diverse effect on him and his mind. We are happy that all were safe and we cannot thank the USCG and the Murrells Inlet Fire and Resue enough for all of their efforts to make sure this incident ended without any injuries. We hope you are enjoying hearing our chaos as much as we are enjoyinmg recording and we hope that you will come join us for a future episode on Tuesdays at 5:30 at MIFC. Tight Lines!!!!

    We had a great time this week and were honored to have Sen. Stephen Goldfinch to join us on Jason's big wooden deck. We had the pleasure of wishing the co-host of Trilogy Outdoors safe travels and well wishes on his depoloyment with the US Army. Stephen has spent a lot of time on the water from scuba diving and fishing all across the world. He also spent alot of his time working on charter boats growing up along the Grand Strand. We coould not have been happier that Capt. Jack Orr of The Fishfinder Fleet joins us as well. Capt. Jack is truly one of the old salts in the coastal region of South Carolina and has been at the helm of some of the most well known head boats to ever call Murrells Inlet home. Along with Capt Jay Baisch of "All Washed Up Driftwood Art" the trip combined for more years on the water than all of our previous guests combined The stories were numerous and Capt.     Austin Dillon is known to most as the driver of the #3 Chevrolet on Sundays in Nascar and he is known as Richard Childress' grandson to many. But, he is in fact an avid outdoorsmen and loves every aspect of fins, fur & freathers. This week he joins us to talk about the new Sport Fishing Championship series that he is a very active and one of the founding members of. As the owner of Team Renegade and representing South Carollina in these events, they started the 2025 with a checkered flag at the first event of the season. We talk with Austin about this series and the format as well as the schedule and alot of the behind the scenes things that are going to help propel this to the forefront in spectator sports. With the NASCAR experience and understanding how to brand and market a team, Austin is sure ot take this SC team to the pinnacle of the SFC. We have a special guest drop by the studio for htis episode and he joins us as we talk something that he is very familiar with.     JT Thompkins Fishing has started on the second half of his 2025 season on the Elite Series. This week he just secured a top 5 fiinsh with an incredible bag of over 120 pounds for the 4 days. A tourney that saw 10 anglers achieve this feat and the all time largest bag was in jeapordy. The lake could only be the one and only Lake Fork in Texas. The show that this lake and these anglers put on may have rivaled any moment in sports over the weeked and possibly years of history on the Elite Series. It was an honor to have JT call in on his way to the nest stop on the Sabine River. We talk baits, his surrent streak, and the rest of the season with 4 events left. He has made us proud all year, and at this streak he is on he will have a hot finish and be a force to reckon with on all the bodies of water left on the schedule.
