How do you feel about the earth? Our home—do you perceive it as a gift? I do. I see it as a gift entrusted to all of us, one that we should truly appreciate.

But, how do we treat a gift we appreciate? Do we take it for granted, misuse it, or intentionally damage it? More importantly, would we allow others to do as they please with our gift?

However, if people were to look at the majority of those they know, there does not seem to be a basis for this type of fear or distrust of others.

Another argument often raised is, "nobody is above the law." In Episode 8, we'll delve further into this mindset. To determine if anyone is 'above the law,' it's important first to clarify what is meant by this statement.

Those in positions of governing us, a.k.a. 'the government,' hold authority over us. But is this their right? Do these individuals have a fundamental right to dictate and govern our lives, or is this authority something we allow them to have?

In Episode 7, we examine this authority and what actually gives it its legitimacy. More importantly, we will discuss what truly empowers these individuals. Is it their numbers? Their military? Their weapons? Or is it something else?

As adults, we are not autonomous. Quite the opposite, in fact—we are currently in a situation similar to when we were children.

This is because other people (a.k.a the government) are in a position of authority over us. It can be said, therefore, that these people are playing the role of "our parents" at this time.

They make rules that we must abide by, punish us when we step out of line, and we have to answer to them. One cannot deny the blatant similarities.

In Episode 5, we explore this concept further and discuss why we should begin to rethink the power we allow other people to have over us.
