Splenic Authority – Whisper of the Now

Splenic Authority is fast, quiet, and instinctive. It communicates in real-time with a subtle whisper or physical sensation. Projectors and Manifestors with a defined Spleen (and no Emotional or Sacral) hold this authority. Trust the first nudge—it won’t repeat itself.

Sacral Authority – Trust Your Gut
Sacral Authority speaks through gut responses—quick, instinctive, and yes/no in nature. If you're a Generator or MG without Emotional definition, your body knows in the moment. Sounds, sensations, and energetic pulls tell you what's right. Don’t overthink it—your gut already knows.

Emotional Authority – Ride the Wave

Emotional Authority means clarity comes over time—not in the moment. If your Solar Plexus is defined, you must wait through emotional highs and lows before making big decisions. There are four kinds of emotional waves (source, tribal, individual, collective), and each has its own rhythm. Patience brings truth. Sleep on it, feel into it, and let emotional clarity settle.

  • Have To – The Weight of Obligation
    Aug 2 2025

“Have to” sounds innocent, but it’s often code for pressure, duty, or even quiet resentment.

“I have to pick up the kids.”
“I have to go to work.”
    “I have to keep going.”

It implies no choice. It can wear down your energy and strip your actions of joy—even when you care deeply about the thing you're doing.

    💡 Reframe it:
Swap “have to” for “get to.”
It’s a micro-shift that returns agency, gratitude, and presence.

“I get to be there for my family.”
“I get to rest when I need to.”
    “I get to say no.”

    Human Design angle:
When you’re living from “have to,” you may be:

    • Acting from root pressure

    • Overriding your authority

    • Forgetting your sacral yes (if you're a Generator or MG)

Language reflects energy—and this shift puts you back in the driver’s seat.

  • #10 Authority in HD: Know Thy Compass – How Human Design Guides Decision Making
    Jul 30 2025

Know Thy Compass – How Human Design Guides Decision Making

In this kickoff episode of our Human Design Authority series, we explore what "Authority" really means and how it works as your inner compass for making aligned decisions. Rather than relying on logic or pressure, Human Design points us inward—to specific energetic centers that guide us uniquely.

    You'll learn:

    • What Authority is and why it matters

    • How your Authority is determined by your chart’s defined centers

    • The 7 types of Authority and how common each one is

    • Why the mind is never your authority—even when it thinks it knows best

This episode sets the stage for our upcoming mini deep dives into each specific Authority. Whether you're emotional, instinctive, gut-driven or guided by the moon—your body holds the truth. Let’s learn to listen

  • But – The (not so) Subtle Saboteur
    Jul 26 2025

“But” seems harmless, but often erases everything that came before it. It can create conflict, defensiveness, and internal misalignment—especially when your mind overrides your authority in Human Design.

💬 “I love you… but I need space” → suddenly it doesn’t feel like love.
💬 “I want to rest… but I should keep going” → the mind is winning over the body’s wisdom.

🧠 HD Angle: Mind vs. inner authority—especially for Generators/MGs ignoring sacral truth.

    Language Shift:

    • Use "and" to hold dual truths: “I love you and I need space.”

    • Use "yet" to keep growth open: “I’m not there… yet.”

🧵 Subtle swap, powerful shift. Let both be true.

Solo Yet Not Alone – Single Mother vs Solo Parent

In this episode of Types and Ties, we explore the subtle yet powerful difference between the terms single mother and solo parent—and why the words we use to describe our parenting journey matter.

    We unpack:

    • The social weight and stigma often attached to “single mother”

    • Why “solo parent” may feel more empowering or accurate for some

    • Reasons women (and men) choose to parent without a partner—from timing, trauma, and autonomy to deep soul callings

    • How shifting language can shift perception, pride, and self-definition

Whether you chose this path or found yourself on it unexpectedly, this episode is a love letter to every parent showing up with their whole heart.

Because parenting solo doesn’t mean you’re less than—just that you’re leading with everything you’ve got.

  • Fine - the conversation killer
    Jul 19 2025

How often do we say we’re fine… when we’re really not?
Fine is the word we use to close the door on deeper conversations—but sometimes, it’s also the word that invites one.
This week on Types and Ties, I’m lifting the lid on the word fine—what it hides, what it protects, and how we can gently open it up.
