En este episodio converso con Jholauris, una amiga de muchos años. Juntas abrimos una conversación honesta y profunda sobre cambio, crecimiento personal y lo que significa reconstruirse lejos de nuestro lugar de origen. Jholauris se presenta desde lo humano: como alguien en constante aprendizaje, que valora las conexiones reales, las cosas simples y los vínculos que la sostienen.

A lo largo del episodio, Jholauris comparte su proceso migratorio, los distintos momentos que ha atravesado y las emociones que han acompañado cada etapa: la seguridad de los comienzos, la soledad, la incertidumbre, el trabajo duro, los límites, y la paciencia que exige empezar de nuevo. Reflexionamos sobre cómo estos cambios han influido en su identidad, en su forma de tomar decisiones y en la relación con el lugar donde vive.

Hablamos también de lo que ocurre cuando, aun “teniendo todo”, algo no termina de encajar, y de cómo se siente cuando dejamos de buscar respuestas fuera y comenzamos a mirar hacia dentro. Jholauris comparte las prácticas y hábitos que la han ayudado a transitar estos procesos: la gratitud, el deporte, la creación de rutinas propias, el valor de las pausas y la importancia de construir vínculos alineados con nuestros valores.

Este episodio es una invitación a reconocer el camino recorrido, a volver al presente y a preguntarnos qué nos sostiene hoy. Una conversación sobre cambio, pertenencia y la valentía de habitar los procesos con más conciencia y amabilidad.

At just nine years old, Motaz was forced to flee Yemen, an experience that would shape his path as a campaigner, youth advocate, and policy advisor.

We explore what the word refugee means, how belonging is built when far from home, and the challenges of our systems to welcome and support refugees.

Motaz also shares how he transformed his journey into activism, collaborating with different organisations to push for systems that truly reflect the voices of displaced people.
