This week, we’re tackling the REAL untalkable topic in the horse world: getting your period while trying to live your best equestrian life.

From white jods that betray you, to show-day “bloodbath” disasters, to sanitary pads achieving unexpected airtime... Nothing is off-limits. Plus, Pippa’s “Normal or Neigh” sends both the gals into an existential crisis because apparently an alicorn is a thing and we had no idea.

It’s chaotic, it’s honest, it’s painfully relatable… and as always, it’s for the better of the horse (and the long-suffering horse girl).

It’s Blue Monday (Actually, we are a week late...) and this episode meets you exactly where you are.

This week, the girls sit in the heaviness a little. They talk honestly about motivation, comparison, and the pressure to constantly be chasing the next goal. The next level. The next big dream. The version of success that looks impressive to everyone else.

But what if those dreams aren’t realistic right now? And what if that’s actually… okay?

This episode is about remembering where you came from. About realising that a year ago your horse might have been lame, you might have been scared, confidence might have been on the floor and now you’re here. Riding. Showing up. Still trying. And that's what matters.

The girls unpack how easy it is to forget the hard chapters once you’re out of them, and how unfair it is to place invisible pressure on ourselves and our horses. Because our horses have no idea of the figurative weight we put on their backs. They’re just doing their best for us, every single day.

This week’s Normal or Neigh is the horse-girl version of stage fright, and it couldn’t be more relatable if it tried.

It might be Blue Monday, but you’re not alone. This one is raw, gentle, grounding and a reminder that progress doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it just quietly keeps going.

Our first guest of 2026, Kitty from Kitty J Equestrian.

Kitty is known for being unapologetically real online, sharing every high, low and “what the hell am I doing” moments of her equestrian journey with her horses Henry and Juno. Henry came to Kitty with a chronic rearing problem, while Juno is her newly self-backed four-year-old with big hopes, big dreams and plenty to learn.

This episode goes deep. The girls and Kitty talk about:

    • Feeling unable to speak up when you disagree with trainers
    • Remembering that there is always another way to do things
    • Letting go of pressure and accepting what your horse can give you
    • Backing young horses and trusting your instincts
    • Sharing your life (and mistakes) on social media
    • Classical dressage, in-hand work, and lifelong learning

Kitty embodies everything Unbridled Conversations stands for. Curiosity, confidence without ego, and always putting the horse first. This is an episode about finding your voice, backing yourself, and doing better by the animal that gives us everything.

Turn it up for the people at the back!
