  • Hadean Press Podcast #31 - Learning from Legendary Practicioners - Kadmus
    Nov 30 2025

Welcome listeners to the Sagittarian fires of 2025, in today’s episode we are delighted to present Kadmus for the second time on the show. Kadmus has developed many of his earlier ideas from his essay, ‘Every Nekuomanteia is a Katabasis’ into perhaps one of the single greatest texts on the subject of Necromancy I have ever read.

This book is not simply a how-to manual, but instead a deep exploration of the subject and dramatis personae of epistemic evocation, or ‘Learning from Legendary Practitioners’. Kadmus is a teacher and author, focusing on philosophy, myth, politics and the multivalence of Pagan thought.

Today we discuss a huge range of subjects concerning necromancy, the myths of Circe, Medea, and the hermaphrodite Tiresias, Pre-Mycenaean oral mythology, how to build report with the shades of the Dead and much more.
