Mallory shares a brief update of her life (and body) sans birth control and what it’s like to be experiencing pimples as an adult when she thought she had her skin care routine down. Due to potential job changes and location of her current job, Mallory has been doing a DIY approach (aka research heavy, book focused) to getting her body back on track. Courtney shares her experience coming off birth control, conversations she had with her doctor and a visit to the ER. She also shares her experience with a potential PCOS diagnosis and wanting to stay off birth control. Listen as Mallory and Courtney discuss two very different experiences.

Courtney shares what purity culture is, what that looked like, sounded like, felt like, and how she realized that it wasn’t right for her. She discusses what isn’t discussed in purity culture and the focus on virginity. She also takes us down memory lane with her one-time experience at a couple’s retreat set-up by her college. Courtney shares her experience the church and sexual assault.

Listen as Courtney and Mallory discuss all things “guilty” pleasure. They go over “guilty” pleasures and why calling them guilty is BS. This episode is more of a go with the flow and sharing what makes them feel good. Courtney shares how she felt guilt with her “guilty” pleasure and why it is simply just a pleasure—a great one for her. They discuss a bit more about Courtney’s pleasure and why people feel a type of way about it. Mallory shares some nonsexual “guilty” pleasures and then shares a lot of the similar feelings as Courtney. They laugh, they giggle, they talk about smutty smut and share some of their favorite books and authors as well as other ways to feel, explore, and find pleasures. It’s short, it’s sweet, it’s fun and it’s us.

Correction: the 9th Bridgerton book is a collection of second epilogues, NOT all about Violet. This book also includes a short (like 100 pages) story of Violet meeting Edmund Bridgerton.

In this episode Courtney and Mallory discuss the benefits of masturbation as well as the shame related to masturbation. Mallory and Courtney briefly discuss Game of Thrones and how that relates to masturbation and shame. Mallory shares how she first experienced shame related to sexuality at an early age and how she has continued to feel that. Courtney shares what it was like to grow up with two older brothers who were allowed to have explicit images on their walls. They reminisce about their childhood, tv shows, and growing up as teens. They share some amazing resources and tips and tricks to discuss masturbation with partners or just getting yourself comfortable with it.

Mallory shares what it was like for her to navigate societal pressures and body changes with different events in her life. Courtney shares how her relationship with her body changed after experiencing a sexual assault and what helped her reconnect with her body. They both discuss how connecting with their bodies, exploring their bodies, and feeling strong in their bodies has helped them have better experiences not only sexually but also in life.
