Whether you're fans of the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe show from the 1980's or not, we think the 2026 MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE reboot is a great time at the theater! Well... two of us do. So let's talk about it!

TUNER quickly became one of our favorite films of the year. Leo Woodall, Havana Rose Liu and Dustin Hoffman's performances are great, Daniel Roher's direction is top notch and the story is compelling. Unfortunately, it's directly competing with THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU, DISCLOSURE DAY, PRESSURE, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, BACKROOMS, POWER BALLAD and THE BREADWINNER, all within 14 days of it's wide release date. And that's not even mentioning the fact that MICHAEL and THE SHEEP DETECTIVES are still performing well. But we implore you... do not sleep on TUNER. Find it in your local theater and go see it. As with any film or show in a massive franchise (Marvel, Star Wars, DCEU, etc.), one of the problems with welcoming new fans into the saga is the amount of homework that needs to happen before you watch something.
