• Actor Maciej Nawrocki (Bojack Horseman, The Thaumaturge) reveals BTS insights into acting
    Jan 12 2026

Zosia Dudzic and Mikołaj Tran, both 16, inquire into the challenges of pursuing a career on screen.

Some actors are recognised for their face, others for a single, iconic shot or sentence. Voice actors live in that strange space where you might not know their name, but you absolutely know what they sound like.

To find out what it’s like to build characters using just your voice, we sat down with Maciek Nawrocki, an actor and improviser whose work ranges from feature films and series to children shows and video games, like The Thaumaturge.

We talked about how voices appear, whether they interrupt normal conversations, how to stay sane after emotional roles, and what AI means for performers whose work lives in a sound booth.

  • Casting director Klementyna Szymanska explains: 'It's not about who's the best.'
    Nov 21 2025

Have you ever wondered exactly how Margot Robbie became Barbie, and Ryan Gosling was selected to be Ken? How many other amazing actors auditioned for those iconic roles?

In the film industry there is a name for the people who make these decisions – a casting director. We had an opportunity to speak to Warsaw-based casting director Klementyna Szymanska to get a better understanding of the process behind matching actors with roles.

Barbara and Zosia, both 16, interview a person whose job it is to match an actor and the character.

  • Legalising marijuana: 'everyone thinks it's safe, but that's not really true'
    Apr 24 2025

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 30% of 12th graders used cannabis in 2022—and around 6% used it daily.

That’s especially concerning given the effects cannabis can have on the developing brain, particularly with regular or heavy use.

Host Lisindi Liyanage from Sri Lanka reached out to Emilia Wilkin from Malta, a contributor at Harbingers', who recently explored how the risks of cannabis are increasingly being overlooked. (What is the debate surrounding marijuana use?) Together, Lisindi and Emilia dive into both sides of the debate—why legalisation may be beneficial in some contexts, and how cannabis, while often seen as harmless, can also be addictive and harmful if misused.
