    WELCOME BACK!
Randall Ferryman is coming to town and he plans to bury us ALL! Herb has hit the sales guy jackpot. One of the biggest funeral home chains in the country has its sights set on the Queen City and they seem to want to deliver big bags of money to the Flimm Building. Herb "did the deal" but...hold on a minute, there was very little deal to be done. Wasn't that WAY too easy? Andy wants to know what's going on here!! Turns out, the Dead Guy in the Lobby wants a jingle in addition to all of those sweet, sweet spots. Can the gang can pull together a jingle??! This just might work. Venus was in a band, Bailey can actually sing and Jennifer is making smoke come out of Herb's ears. Yeah, yeah...one day we're all gonna buy it, but until that day comes, you need to hit "play" and enjoy the young and swingin' sounds of the Mighty KRP Singers!! Randall is 'ready to cook'!

[Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog" episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released starting in 2015.]

    Feb 2 2026
[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!

A young mother is alone in Cincinnati. Her only friend in the world is the Doctor! She says she hears him on his show every morning and she just KNOWS she can trust him with her newborn. When she leaves the baby at the station, the little sweetie melts everyone's heart...well, everyone except Herb. She's a little standoffish when it comes to Herb. The baby has standards! Johnny gets a taste of fatherhood (and, possibly, the yellow stuff). Check it out! A young man named Danny Openden is playing the baby. We found Danny! And, even cooler, we found Danny's mom, Lori Openden! Lori has spent her life in television casting and she just happened to have a newborn when this storyline came around. Lori gave us some GREAT behind the scenes details about Danny's time on WKRP. Grab a diaper, fellow babies, it's time for a change!! Take a big bite of the green stuff, hum a little Brahm's Lullaby and hit "play" before the people from Children and Family Services get here!!

    Jan 29 2026
    WELCOME BACK!
Every pot has a lid, right? Well Herb's lid, Lucille, is on the loose!! That's right, it's the return of the fantastically funny Edie McClurg as Lucille Tarlek!! Want tunes? We've got Elvis, Old Blue Eyes, Eddie Money and J. Geils!! Want drama...pathos...DIP?? We've got that, TOO!! Lucille wants a divorce and she's booted Herb from their happy home. Herb winds up sleeping on the bullpen couch...then at Johnny's place...and if we're not careful Art's gonna wind up tearing his whole house down. Grab a Pina Colada and let's head over to Johnny's pad. Oh, hold on...here comes some shag carpet, Lenny Bruce and a whole bunch of free drinks! If you've ever wanted to visit the King Kong Lounge, this is the time, fellow babies!! Spritz yourself with a little Brut, make sure some chest hair is showing, and hit "play"...it's the best decision you'll make all night, gorgeous (wink-wink).

    WELCOME BACK!
Johnny's been gone for about two weeks and the gang is on EDGE! It doesn't help matters that sleazy record company promo man Murray Gressler is sniffing around. Murray will do just about anything to get his records played. Andy should have known better than to hire the deejay Murray recommended, but he needed to get the time slot filled! Doug Winner, the new morning man, turns out to be a smiling but shifty jerk who's willing to throw Johnny under the bus to protect his precious Coke supply (and we don't mean the cola kind). The WKRP-Cast is nothing but "Miami Vice" and Odor Eaters this week! It'll make more sense when you push "play" and join us!!

    WELCOME BACK!
Something strange is happening around the ol' KRP Ranch. It's 14 degrees but Johnny is playing Beach Boys like it's the Fourth of July! (at least, it's some bargain basement semblance of Beach Boys on the ol' Shout! Factory disks). We discover the good Doctor has been called to practice back in L.A. The competitor to the station that fired him over the whole "Booger" thing has come calling with a GREAT offer! Will Johnny head for huge bucks, sunny skies and sweet revenge? Can the gang keep Johnny in Cincinnati?? It's a plot laced with high stakes, deceit and Jennifer's...um...charms! It's a story so big it might not get told in one WEEK!! Knock back another strong one with Art and pull up a chair. We've got some war stories to tell and they aren't going to get told with you sitting at home! Button up your brains and haul out your tux, fellow babies! The WKRP-Cast is headed to "The Cricket" and we've got reservations! Push "play" to join us!!

A pack of killer tornadoes has descended on the Ohio Valley. Fearless Newsman Les Nessman is on it...or, at least he would be if he weren't stuck in an elevator. Oh, yeah...his teletype machine is also unplugged. It's a long story that gets really weird when the Japanese businessmen show up (they're our allies now, you know). Board up the windows and batten down the hatches, there's terror on the 14th floor!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies and get to low ground. [THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!
Hang on, fellow babies, we're SUPERSIZED!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! On this episode of the "WKRP-Cast", we tackle one of life's greatest mysteries: are there actually two endings to this episode? And, if there are, WHY??? Johnny blew it when he missed the decimal point on Andy's contest memo. The "big prize" was fifty bucks. Johnny read it as FIVE THOUSAND!! No sweat, we'll just make the contest impossible to win! KRP listeners are obviously musical savants. EVERYBODY is figuring out the impossible puzzle. When it comes time to award the cash, will Johnny Save the Day? Or, will Johnny Have to Pay? He actually winds up doing BOTH!! This is the weirdest, wildest, strangest little detour you'll take in WKRP-land, which is why we invited a very special detour guide: episode writer CASEY PIOTROWSKI joins us with comments and insight!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies and strap in. The Bozo-puter might overheat before we're done with this one. You ARE seeing double!! Hit 'play' to find out why!!

A lot is happening at the Mighty KRP, and the laughs are BACK, fellow babies!! Les has won the Coveted Silver Sow (we don't think "Coveted" is actually in the title...but the way he says it, it is!!). Herb decides to help his little buddy get a date. He doesn't know he's about to set off a chain of events that will end with wigs, memos, gold lame, and a quiet cup of cocoa with a beautiful woman. How could they fit it all in 25 minutes??
