About this listen

Join us as the triggers of our wanderlust - Fables, Maps, Curiosity and Adventure are transformed into action as we embark on a 10 month journey to 40 countries in Asia, Europe, North Africa, Central America and the Caribbean. We have common knowledge and experience quests centred around food, specifically breads flat, and local dishes that are spicy, sweet, healthy and odd. We have more personal quests like things related to small ultralight aircraft and the use of technology on the trip. Of course there is the culture, history, geography, scenery and interactions in the paces we visit and we will want to report on challenges, emotions and personal reflections. • China Trip - Epic A - Beijing
    Jan 1 2025

Beijing was the first stop on our trip. We arrived via Shanghai after an 18-hour flight from Melbourne. Day1 we visited Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

Day 2 we visited the Great Wall of China. Before that, we went to a jade museum. We had a Peking duck lunch on the way to the wall.

We also went on a Hutong (alley) pedicab tour along one of the three lakes west of the Forbidden City.

We also visited a traditional Chinese medicine place.
