About this listen

Lori Dube and Constance Bauer, long time friends, embark on an intimate journey chronicling their deep conversations about life, love, and aging. As her cover picture surely attests, Constance is more "furious" with the aging process and the way women in their third act are ghosted by society, and Lori is more "curious" about how she can lean into and learn from this aging process. In this podcast we will unpack issues that are impacting the hearts and souls of women over 60, as we walk together into the unknown of what lies ahead for us all. We hope you will join us on this journey.

Lyrics to our Theme Song, "Woman," composed by Julia Fortman

You can’t break me down, ‘cause I’m a woman.

Strong and powerful, just like I should be.

Try to cut me out, I’d like to see you try.

We may not be young, but we’re still kicking.

Out and having fun, cause life’s worth living.

I’m not sitting down…you’ll see me eye to eye.

I’ll be here and relevant ‘til the day I die.

  • Rightsizing Your Fear of Death
    Feb 23 2026

In our conversation with Amy Schiller, a social worker and professor who specializes in the field of death and dying, we start to unpack the myth of the “Good Death.” Amy talks about letting go of control in the dying process, and how becoming aware of our fears and beliefs about dying can impact our lives, and allow us to live more fully. Amy offers her students the opportunity to write Legacy Letters, and suggests everyone consider their own Advance Directives for when the end of life comes. Constance shares the many ways she is trying to practice and “rightsize” her own deep fears about death and dying, and Lori opens up to the possibility of an Afterlife.

And don’t forget to hang around for our “After Thoughts” where Lori and Constance unpack the episode and chat about our thoughts on what we heard, and where we have started “Listener Shout-Outs,” and episode-based Challenges for our listeners.

    SHOW NOTES:

The CHALLENGE for this episode is to complete one of the exercises discussed - a Legacy Letter, some Death Cleaning, a Death Meditation and let us know how it went :)

  • Valentine’s Day, Rewritten: Pleasure, Passion & Play After 60
    Feb 13 2026

Just in time for VALENTINE'S DAY, Constance and Lori speak to Kandee Love, a licensed therapist specializing in couple’s and sex therapy. We explore topics ranging from sexual expression across the life stages to sex toys and tips for older adults. Kandee emphasizes the importance of prioritizing pleasure, passion, and play in a world filled with stress. Kandee has labeled February as “Spunky Old Broads Month,” and encourages women to re-write their old narratives and embrace boldness in the bed room. We discuss the idea of redefining sexuality beyond traditional penetrative sex, and the great importance of communication in a relationship, and we end with Kandee providing tips for enhancing sexual expression and intimacy in long-term relationships. This is an episode you don’t want to miss!
