Listen back to Afternoons with Reed and Eddie from April 17th. It finally feels like Friday, even though Reed is convinced it’s still Tuesday and his brain is hanging on by a thread. What starts as Reed going out for Italian food somehow turns into him forcing another round of dad jokes, then turns into a full argument about tetherball… or swing ball… whatever you called it, because somehow we all played it and still don’t know the rules. Reed claims he was elite, Eddie has questions. Reed also takes on a Top 5 shoe brands list, gets the top three, and then completely blanks on the rest, which Eddie is both impressed and disappointed by. They get into some very “over 40” takes like refusing QR code menus, being annoyed everything needs an app, and saying “we have food at home” way too often. Plus, a wild cruise story where drinking a little too much somehow led to a $300,000 payout, Eddie trying to talk Reed into letting him buy something random on his Amazon account, and a very real frustration with people who take the top off bread and leave the rest behind. It’s all over the place in the best way.
