  • 134: How She Became Financially Independent at 32 w/ Jillian Johnsrud
    May 25 2024

Jillian Johnsrud started her financial journey at 19 with $55,000 of debt. Jillian and her husband, Adam, didn't have high-earning jobs, but they still had big dreams. They wanted to be able to Retire Often and take mini-retirements to travel the world, adopt kids, and have financial freedom.

Over 20 years, they have taken a dozen mini-retirements. It took over a decade to pay off their debt, pay cash for our home, adopt four kids (and have two biological kids), buy rentals, travel to 27 countries, and live abroad. At 32, Jillian became financially independent. Jillian and Adam left their full-time jobs. They live in Kalispell, Montana, near Glacier National Park with their five kids.
