  • Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters
    May 19 2026

Time to (temporarily) break from our love affair with the 1990s, delve into the previous decade and visit a character Galactosh really does not care for, a book he's never heard of, but one Sleeves has been meaning to read for ages. DC's Green Arrow... is basically robin hood right? Well, hopefully we can answer that as we read and discuss the book that reinvented him for the modern age and launch hes very first solo title. A story of drugs smuggling rackets, rogue CIA agents, serial killers, Yakuza Assassins, Iranian arms deal, and coked up fish! And maybe even a love story about two heroic love birds, a guy who dresses like 'Robin' Hood and a gal that calls herself Black 'Canary'. Join us as we read Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters.

  • The Transformers #7-8 (Part 2 of 2)
    Nov 23 2025

Transformers... THE Transformers the original Marvel run that started it all (sure there was a cartoon too but that was rubbish... kids stuff) is a bit of an obsession for Sleeves. He's collected all the Marvel UK comics, he's started a substack on the subject. So we thought we'd ingluge the little scamp and discuss a few issues of the comic, just a small number... four... keep it light. What followed was over 3 hours of robot related rambling too long to be contained in just one episode. So we split it in two... and this is the second part.

Reforming the same band of contributors that brought you an overstuffed look at Skybound's Transformers relaunch last year, Sleeves, Galactosh and special guests Virtual Dave and Michael Quintesson pore over the pages of The Transformers issues 5 to 8 reprinted in issues 22 to 28 of Marvel UK's fortnightly larger format comic. We join the story as Shockwave takes command of the Decepticons and begins his plans to conquer the earth one Blackrock facility at a time, learn why Optimus Prime's head is no longer on his body, why Buster Witwicky is having a lot of headaches, how the Dinobot came to be on earth, what the rite of oneness is and why Ratchet must learn to become a warrior!
