In this video, I dive deep into Ardbeg as a distillery and a brand. We explore Ardbeg’s history, its cult following, its full core range, and the bold marketing that made it one of the most recognisable names in peated whisky.

The second half of the video focuses on Ardbeg Wee Beastie, including a full nosing and tasting. We look at how a young five year old whisky delivers so much intensity, what makes it different from Ardbeg Ten, and who this whisky is really for.

This is a long form review for peat lovers, Islay fans and anyone curious about how bold whisky brands are built.

A Lidl whisky with a three year age statement. Cheap looking. Low expectations. Honest results.

Full whisky reviews, education and tasting notes on Whisky Clan

In this video, I review Balmuir Blended Scotch Whisky Oak 3 Years, a budget supermarket blend from Lidl.
We look at what blended Scotch whisky actually means, how malt and grain whisky are used in blends, why three years is the legal minimum for Scotch, and whether this bottle is worth buying at all.

This is an honest, no hype review with realistic expectations.
Surprisingly not bad, but definitely not great either.

Final rating. 61 out of 100.
