We know that Jesus came to set us free from our sins. This is common knowledge among all Christians.
But many Christians do not understand why sin must be removed.
Certainly there is a desire for sin to be removed because all Christians will acknowledge the pain brought about through sin. But the reasons why sin must be removed go far deeper than that.
Sin is the one thing that stands between man and God. God wants His people to be perfect the way they were originally created, until Adam and Eve sinned. But perfection cannot be achieved while we continue to believe we are sinners and living under the power of sin.
