  • The Call for Personal Spiritual and Pastoral Conversion for Leaders - Homily 3rd March 2026
    Mar 3 2026

Today’s scripture readings revolve around the theme of conversion, especially for leaders, who are called to undergo two types of conversion: personal spiritual conversion and pastoral conversion. The readings reveal how God rejects mere external worship and instead calls leaders to repentance, justice, compassion for the vulnerable, and a renewed covenant relationship grounded in mercy and righteousness.

Jesus deepens this call by challenging religious leaders to move beyond legalism and self-exaltation toward humble, servant leadership which reveals the face of the Father to those they serve. Ultimately, authentic leadership requires both personal holiness and pastoral compassion—drawing others not to oneself, but into deeper communion with God.

Reflection Question: Are there any areas in my life where I behave like the scribes and the Pharisee that Jesus are challenging? What kind of conversion am I being called to by the Lord?

  • Growing in Holiness
    Feb 27 2026

In this season of Lent, Jesus calls us to a holiness that goes deeper than merely keeping rules. Holiness is a lifelong process, something to be guarded, nurtured, and renewed daily through our choices. Each decision either draws us closer to God’s love and mercy or distances us from it.

Anger, resentment, and grudges may seem small at first, but if left unchecked, they grow and harden the heart. The Lord invites us not only to avoid grave sin, but to purify the very roots of our thoughts and intentions. At the end of our lives, it will not be a checklist of rules that defines us, but whether our hearts have learned to love as God loves.

How are we intentionally growing in holiness each day?

  • Ask, Seek, Knock: The Heart of True Discipleship - Homily 26th February 2026
    Feb 26 2026

Prayer reflects our relationship with the Father. When we truly know Him, we ask with childlike humility, search with sincere cooperation, and knock with persevering faith. When we truly experience a Father who gives only what is good, our hearts are changed. We begin to treat others not according to how they deserve, but according to how we ourselves have been loved, with patience, generosity, and mercy. Thus, prayer shapes our hearts, and transformed hearts fulfill “the Law and the Prophets” by becoming proactive in love. That is true discipleship.

Reflection Question: How has my personal experience of the Father’s love shaped the way I treat people and where might the Lord be inviting me to love more proactively?
