Del 18 al 20 de junio, Mendizabala abre sus puertas al Azkena Rock Festival, y en Women Riot nos plantamos en el micrófono para celebrar el talento de las mujeres que van a pisar sus escenarios y exigir a los programadores una presencia femenina real y justa en los carteles porque bandas y estilos sobran, solo hace falta querer verlas. Desgranamos la programación en riguroso orden de aparición para que no te pierdas nada de este fin de semana salvaje: ● Jueves 18: Arrancamos el festival con la calma de Nhil y pasamos a la furia punk de Radioactivas. Casi a la vez, la grandiosa Imelda May recuperará su icónico tupé y su descarga rockabilly en el escenario God. ● Viernes 19: Nos vamos de sesión vermú a la Plaza de la Virgen Blanca con el soul-blues de Bywater Call. Ya de vuelta al recinto, nos espera la imponente voz de Lee-la Baum con The Damn Truth, el garage primitivo y troglodita de Cavegirl + The Neandergals, el sonido feroz desde Japón de Stompin’ Riffraffs y la tormenta australiana de Tropical Fuck Storm. ● Sábado 20: Cerramos el festival quemando zapatillas en Trashville con Twin Ghosts, el torbellino noventero de Superchunk, la adrenalina de Split Dogs, el aquelarre folk-punk de Bridge City Sinners y el glam psicodélico de Starbenders. From June 18 to 20, Mendizabala opens its doors to the Azkena Rock Festival, and at Women Riot, we stand at the microphone to celebrate the talent of the women who will be gracing its stages and demand a real and fair female presence in the lineups from event programmers, because there are plenty of bands and styles, you just have to want to see them.
