    Amanda French is a Queensland-based media and communications specialist dedicated to wildlife and conservation causes. She has worked both in the field and remotely, developing high-profile campaigns and supporting international wildlife projects to tell their stories, including her work in Sumatran communities with a focus on endangered elephants, as well as with Australian not-for-profit organizations focused on conservation. Amanda is currently involved in a major koala health and management program in Queensland, and is the co-founder of C.R.O.C QLD.

    She is also the author of The Last Crocodile Hunter – A Father and Son Legacy, the autobiography of Bob Irwin Senior, which tells the story of his legacy in conservation. Together, Amanda and Bob have travelled more than 20,000 kilometers to share the stories of grassroots conservation organizations and inspire others. Her work in the wildlife space has also been featured twice on ABC’s Australian Story—first in March 2013 and again in May 2015.
