For years, French fought against French as the country battled for control of its future. Would France's future lie with Nazi Germany or the Allies? Would France be able to reconcile with Britain or would they throw in with the Axis in hopes of securing a better position for itself in post-war Europe? From Africa to Paris, the French killed each other by the dozens and then by the thousands to find the answer to this burning question.
