  • Michigan: The first state to indict its false electors.

    All eyes are on the Fulton County Courthouse in Georgia today, as District Attorney Fani Willis is expected to unseal multiple indictments related to former president Donald Trump's attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. A key prong of the plot is the "false electors" scheme, in which 16 Republican Party officials created and submitted false electoral votes for Trump and attempted to use them to replace Joe Biden's legitimate electoral college votes.

    But Georgia won't be the first state to indict its false electors. Last week, Michigan arraigned the last batch of its 16 false electors, who were indicted in July. Here's your briefing...
