About this listen

🎙️ Welcome to ZeloCast : Glow with the Flow — where music, meaning, and a whole lot of good vibes come together! 🎶✨

Hosted by The Zelotones, Singapore’s very own passionate, independent band, we’re all about sharing real-life stories, spreading positivity, and championing inclusion for persons with disabilities (PWD).

Meet the crew:

🎸 Zach (bass) – Founder, groove master, and proof that losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision. From navigating blindness in young adulthood to rocking the bass like nobody’s business, Zach’s got wisdom and wicked riffs.

🥁 Alex (drums) – Started on bass, leveled up to drums, now smashing Grade 5 exams like it’s no big deal. Visually impaired since young, Alex’s independence and “why not?” attitude make him a powerhouse on and off stage.

🎤 Zyana (vocals & rhythm guitar) – Our powerhouse vocalist with a heart full of stories and a guitar that never lies. Living with tunnel vision hasn’t stopped her from crafting beautiful arrangements and lighting up any stage.

🎹 Ben (keys) – The “jukebox” pianist with Grade 8 chops, a killer smile, and a life story that redefines resilience. After two serious accidents, Ben’s motto is simple: keep playing, keep glowing.

💪 The Zelotones do it all – music, admin, PR, finances – proving that disability doesn’t define limits. We use our voices (and instruments!) to amplify PWD perspectives, spark conversations, and build a more inclusive Singapore.

Every episode, expect a mix of:

💬 Honest chats about life’s ups and downs

  • Episode 35 : Celebrating Birthdays in Batam Island
    Feb 22 2026

In this special episode of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow, we ditch the studio and go international… well, sort of. 🌊🎉 This one is recorded straight from a hotel lobby in Batam, where Alex and Zyana are celebrating double birthdays — Chantiq on Feb 13 and Alex on the 18th. Cake, chaos, and ferry tickets included.

Ever wondered how a visually impaired couple prepares for an overseas trip? Zyana spills the truth: it’s equal parts strategy and controlled chaos. From hunting down the best junior suite deals to packing a mini “pharmacy” and extra kitchen towels (because you never know), preparation is serious business.

The adventure starts at a packed ferry terminal — with everything from super helpful staff to one very grumpy immigration officer who clearly skipped the “priority queue” memo. Once in Batam, though, it’s all good vibes: incredible customer service, warm hospitality, and the legendary Padang-style dining experience where dishes flood the table and you only pay for what you touch (dangerous, honestly).

And then comes the real chaos — an indoor playground. Alex screaming on a 360-degree spinning car like his life depends on it. Zyana attempting to balance inside a giant inflatable water wheel like a determined hamster. Zero dignity. Maximum fun.

Through the laughter, they reflect on what it truly means to travel independently as persons with disabilities — proving that adventure isn’t about perfection, it’s about courage.

It’s spontaneous, hilarious, heartfelt, and very much on the flow. 🌟
And don’t forget to check out our latest music video for “Merajuk” on YouTube!

Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨

  • Episode 34 : Ben’s Valentine Confession
    Feb 16 2026

Welcome to Episode 34 — where love is in the air, ang baos are floating around, and the fasting month is just around the corner. Yes, it’s a full-on festive crossover episode and we are here for it.

The highlight? Ben’s Valentine Confession. 👀 Our favorite keyboardist opens up about his dating history (yes, there were two girlfriends!) and boldly shares his dream girl checklist: intelligent, funny, and — most importantly — must be ready to dance the cha-cha. Standards? High. We respect it. 💃

Meanwhile, Alex and Zyana rewind to their own love origin story — back when impressing your crush meant recording songs onto cassettes and hoping the DJ wouldn’t ruin the intro. They also revisit the legendary mystery caller known only as “Dolmat” (iconic, honestly).

The crew dives into how attraction works when you’re blind — where a sweet voice, personality, and those “internal features” matter way more than looks. It’s warm, chaotic, nostalgic, and full of heart.

Love, laughter, and just the right amount of drama — because together we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨

  • Episode 33 : Independent, from Love Ones to Friends
    Feb 8 2026

Welcome to Episode 33 — pull up a chair and come sit with us, because this one’s equal parts big updates and deep feelings. We’re talking about what independence really means… and spoiler alert: it’s not always neat or fast, but it is powerful.First up — some exciting news! Zelotones is officially rebranding as an inclusive and independent band 🎉 And yes, we’ve added a “normal man” to the team (our sound engineer), because real inclusivity isn’t about labels — it’s about everyone bringing their strengths to the table, whether that’s visual impairment, cognitive challenges, or just really good ears. The heart of this episode gets beautifully real as we talk about parenting, protection, and learning when to let go. Alex shares stories of his super-protective mum waiting for him at the school canteen every day, and his late grandmother who was his ultimate tag-team partner in his early school years. Zyana reflects on her hero dad, and a powerful moment when her mum realised that stepping back allowed friends — and confidence — to step forward.Ben drops a wholesome milestone too: learning to handle household chores like washing toilets and plates so he could serve others while his caregiver was away. Small actions, big independence energy. We wrap things up with laughs in a fun round of “I Can Do It Myself,” where household chores turn into riddles and chaos naturally follows. It’s heartfelt, funny, and full of reminders that independence looks different for everyone — and that’s okay. Together, we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨
