John is a retired engineer who now spends his time working in record preservation. He and his wife, Sherry, volunteer to digitize historical records, to make them available to the public (for free!). John likes to focus on records that have genealogical value as he believes that family is the most important thing in not just his, but everyone’s life.

  • Mr. Charles Goldman & Planning for Longevity

    In this episode of bOLDer People, Dr. Katie Ehlman invites Mr. Charles Goldman into the studio. Mr. Goldman is an established board member at Solarbron Senior Living who spent 45 years in banking at Old National Bank and National City Bank in Evansville. In his life, he has learned much about planning, goal-setting, and seeing the bigger picture.
    Mr. Goldman grew up at a time when Southwestern Indiana was majority rural. He remembers Model T Fords, dirt roads, and extended families living together in the same neighborhood.
    Mr. Goldman has a wealth of interesting experiences to draw from. The two explore many topics during their conversation, including:

    • How unique stories from Mr. Goldman's past shape his outlook on life
    • How to make sound choices in the present
    • How the future will always be unpredictable
