• INTERVIEW | Indiana Senator: J.D. Ford - The Joyful Revolution Series
    Apr 21 2026

What does it really take to fight for joy, justice, and your community from inside a system that wasn't built for you?

In this episode of Sorry I'm a B*tch, hosts Kaylee Ellis and Jon Boyd sit down with Indiana State Senator J.D. Ford — the first, and so far only, openly LGBTQ+ person elected to Indiana's state legislature for a real, unfiltered conversation as part of the Joyful Revolution series.

Senator Ford flipped a long-held Republican district in 2018 and has been fighting for working families, affordable healthcare, and equal rights for Hoosiers ever since. We get into all of it — the wins, the walls, and what joy looks like when you're making history.

Kaylee Ellis is the co-creator and host of Sorry I'm a B*tch — the podcast for anyone who's ever been called a bitch. A full-time podcaster and part-time wife and mother, Kaylee built the show around candid, unfiltered conversations covering feminism, pop culture, mental health, and everything in between. Known for her humor-meets-heart approach, she's never met a topic she wasn't willing to dig into — unapologetically.

Jon Boyd is the creator behind Mulatto Munitions — a husband, Hoosier daddy, and writer using sharp political commentary and creative storytelling to build a better world for the next generation. Find him everywhere.

  • Sorry I'm a Witch
    Oct 28 2025

Kaylee’s gone full witch mode this week — wine glass in hand, hat slightly askew — joined by Indianapolis sports anchor and reporter Alexa Ross. Together they conjure up some chaos: swapping real-life cemetery ghost stories, ranking the hottest villains, and spiraling deep into the cursed lore of the dybbuk box (with many book tangents along the way, obviously). It’s spooky, unhinged, and full of cackles — like a girls’ night in hell, but with better eyeliner.

  • Sorry I Invited a Politician
    Oct 7 2025

Kaylee does the unthinkable—she invites a politician to the Sorry I’m a B*tch podcast. Meet George Hornedo, the show’s first-ever male guest and a total anomaly in Congress hopeful territory. He’s young, charismatic, and running for U.S. Congress in Indiana’s 7th District against longtime incumbent André Carson.

Kaylee asks George the questions that actually matter—about Indiana, about why he’s decided to run, and why we should vote for him. It’s a refreshing, funny, and surprisingly heart-filled conversation that reminds us politics doesn’t have to be boring (or full of people we can’t stand).

It’s the political episode you didn’t know you needed: smart, Midwestern, and just chaotic enough to make democracy feel hot again.

  • Sorry I'm a Dollar Princess
    Sep 23 2025

What happens when marrying for love wasn’t the point, but marrying for money definitely was? In this episode, Kaylee dives into the fascinating (and sometimes scandalous) history of “Dollar Princesses” — the wealthy American women of the Gilded Age who crossed the Atlantic to trade fortunes for aristocratic titles. Think Downton Abbey meets Succession, with a dash of modern side-eye.

Kaylee unpacks the cultural drama behind these transatlantic marriages: who benefitted, who got swindled, and how this age-old tradition of money-for-status still echoes in today’s relationships, celebrity pairings, and influencer “soft launches.” And of course, she spices it up with her own brand of wit, pettiness, and unapologetic hot takes.

If you’ve ever wondered whether romance can survive when the checkbook enters the chat, this one’s for you.

  • Sorry I'm a Badass
    Sep 16 2025

This week, Kaylee is leaning all the way into the art of doing the right thing—even when it’s the hardest thing. From standing up for yourself to refusing to shrink down to what’s “expected,” she’s bringing receipts from some of history’s baddest women. We’re talking Wu Zetian, the only woman to rule China as emperor; Julie D’Aubigny, the swashbuckling, scandal-starting opera singer with a sword; and Nancy Wake, the spy who made the Nazis sweat. These women didn’t just play the game—they flipped the board, set it on fire, and dared anyone to tell them no.

Listen in for a reminder that being a badass doesn’t mean being fearless—it means being brave enough to do it anyway.

  • Sorry I'm a B*tch
    Sep 9 2025

Kaylee kicks off this self-titled episode by sharing the mic with her book club buddy Amanda — a wedding photographer, long-time Indianapolis resident, and fellow book enthusiast. They spill on everything from Bunny by Mona Awad to The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han, Verity by Colleen Hoover, and the works of R.F. Kuang, Rachel Yoder, Gillian Flynn, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and more.

Between dragging AI for being so wrong (like, embarrassingly wrong) and playing a world-saving round of Sip It or Spill It, they ask the hard-hitting questions no one else will: What should only be for the girls? And which celeb has truly done more for bisexuals?

    It’s unhinged, it’s bookish, it’s a little chaotic—but hey, so are we. Welcome to Sorry I’m a B*tch.

  • Sorry I'm About to Ruin your Favorite Author
    Sep 2 2025

Think your favorite author is untouchable? Think again. In this episode, Kaylee rips apart the literary canon with zero hesitation—dragging F. Scott Fitzgerald for his messy ego, Percy Shelley for being a hot disaster of a human, and George Orwell for, well… a lot. No classic is safe. From the toxic love affairs behind the “masterpieces” to the hypocrisy baked into their pages, Kaylee exposes the authors you were forced to worship in school and asks: do we really need to keep romanticizing them? Sorry in advance if your bookshelf takes a hit.
