Hagen Rether verbirgt hinter seinem charmanten Auftreten, hinter seinen netten Plaudereien, hinter seinen leichten Klavierakkorden böse Wahrheiten, die er ganz subtil unters Volk bringt. Von seinem - seit Jahren konstanten - Programmtitel "Liebe" darf man sich nicht beirren lassen. Gefühlselig kommen höchstens ein paar sanfte Pianoklänge daher, aber in seinen Texten erweist sich Hagen Rether als gnadenloser Beobachter, der sich mit allem beschäftigt, außer mit politischer Korrektheit.
