Dopo avere affrontato i temibili chupacabra e avere scoperto che si tratta di animali mutanti creati nell'ambito dì un progetto segreto dal governo degli Stati Uniti, Jerry ritrova un po' di serenità nella famiglia ricostituita (dopo la sua ultima, terrificante avventura, i genitori si sono riappacificati), ma la tranquillità dura poco. E stavolta il ragazzino si ritrova a combattere contro un enorme bigfoot che minaccia l'ultima bestia, l'ultimo chupacabra rimasto in vita.

Jerry vive con la madre e non vede sue padre Ray da un anno. Quando va finalmente a trovarlo scopre però che Ray è stato arrestato ed è accusato di avere profanato una tomba. La casa è deserta e in una gabbia il ragazzino trova un mostro rabbioso, che appena lo vede cerca di divorare Flick, il suo bassotto, per poi fuggire e darsi alla macchia. Dopo un rocambolesco viaggio alla ricerca della bestia, tra linciaggi, segreti militari e ripugnanti animali mutanti, sarà proprio Jerry, con l'aiuto di Ester, una bellissima ragazza cieca e sensitiva, che riuscirà a tirare fuori tutti dai guai.
