Beim Vorreiten auf der idyllischen Ocean Ranch, dem Reiterhof für Pferdeflüsterer in Cornwall, erlebt die erfolgreiche Ruby eine böse Überraschung: Mit ihrer Art, wie sie das Pferd vorantreibt, kommt sie gar nicht gut an. Le grand gagnant remporte le trident de bois géant qu'il garde un an, et remet au vainqueur de l'année suivante. Cette compétition est surtout l'occasion de faire la fête en famille.

Nos quatre ados sont très fiers de faire partie de l'équipe des manadiers qui accompagnent les chevaux à l'estivage cette année ! Une superbe chevauchée de deux jours à travers la campagne camarguaise et les Alpilles ! Samantha est aussi du voyage, obligée par son père qui veut qu'elle gagne en expérience pour un jour reprendre la manade. Elle est dégoûtée car elle va du coup rater la super fête de sa copine Rachel samedi soir... à moins qu'elle trouve un moyen de fausser compagnie à l'équipe ! Samantha va donc intriguer pour revenir à temps pour le fête de Rachel.

Au collège, chaque élève doit faire un stage de découverte si possible en relation avec le métier qu'il aimerait faire plus tard. Pour Angelo, c'est tout vu : il fait son stage avec son père Emir à la manade Cavaletti (il ignore que Samantha fait elle aussi son stage chez son père... et jouera sa chef !). Pour Hugo, c'est aussi clair comme de l'eau de mer : il va faire son stage dans le magasin de board à côté de la plage (sauf que son père a prévu de le prendre avec lui au collège, et de lui faire découvrir le métier de proviseur !).
