This podcast was commissioned by the Gods for purposes of world domination. Wait, I mean this podcast is not very good. No, I meant to say the Annual Manual is a daily report featuring several sets of statistics for that day. The powers of several Almanacs, historical databases and black magick witchcraft are combined and cultivated within this satisfying short daily listen. Master Haun tells what day of the year it is, if you should set your eggs, what to plant, when to not go fishing, all of the most important data sets are represented.

Story0
The end of his first year in office marked a momentous time for the US - it was 60 years since the establishment of the country. However, the subsequent presidents, including President Taylor, did not forget the sting of past wars. In his first annual address, Zachary Taylor meets this time of peace with a challenge, saying that he hopes to continue this legacy of peace. Perhaps due to his background as a military man, this address was mostly meant to show the nation about the civility between the US and other nations after a particularly rocky start.

Story0
Because the US Constitution gives the power of relating to (and control over) Indian tribes to the federal government, Congress requires updates every year, and those reports are available to the public. In 1827, the Office of Indian Affairs was still under the War Department and did not publish the Superintendent's report as a separate document. The advantage to this is that---unlike in later years when the Annual Report of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs and the individual reports from Indian agents was published separately---we can hear two of the diverse sides of the complicated story ...
