„Heimkehr in die Fremde“ ist eine Erzählung von Nikolai Soukup die auf Basis eines Gesprächs mit Anneliese Hübner (geboren 1926) beruht. Wir hatten das Jahr 1945, Juni, und wenige Monate zuvor hatte ich noch recht konkrete Vorstellungen von meiner Zukunft gehabt. „Mein Freund in Schwarz“ ist eine Erzählung von Angelika Slavik die auf Basis eines Gesprächs mit Heidelinde Berger (geboren 1908) beruht. Ich wurde 1908 als fünftes von sechs Kindern geboren, ich war das einzige Mädchen. Noch bevor ich in die Schule kam, verließ mein Vater die Familie. Ich mag ihn irgendwie, den Tod. Er ist die Konstante meines Lebens, so wie bei anderen ein Beruf oder ein Ehepartner.

In "Piper in the Woods", an army doctor is asked to treat a soldier from Asteroid Y-3 who claims he is a plant. This wouldn't be a problem, but the soldier is incapable of any physical activity, preferring to stand still and point himself towards the sun. When more soldiers return from Asteroid Y-3 also claiming to be plants, Dr. Harris travels there to investigate. While there, he learns about a mysterious indigenous people living in the woods called "Pipers", who might be able to shed some light on the subject.
